Liz and Elliot met when they both worked at the same place, and the attraction was immediate. I had the pleasure of shooting their engagement a couple months ago, and I could see the love they shared, first hand. Every couple is anxious to get married once engaged, but Liz could absolutely not wait. She is not only over the top in love with Elliot, but she wants to start a family as soon as possible. The wedding was on one of the hot weekend that we’ve had this year, but we were lucky enough for a slight breeze and a little break of heat. The day went beautifully and we had a gorgeous sunset, plus a full moon!

Growing up we all have memories of the lake – staying in cabins, lake homes, and sometimes roughing it in the tent. Regardless of the conditions we slept in, everyone always had a blast! Nicole and Vinnie have spent years going to the lake together, and it’s where their love blossomed. They decided there would be no better place than where their love formed to take their vows. It was a beautiful day for a wedding, even the strange flash flood that came before the ceremony couldn’t ruin the mood. The rain did wonderful things to the sky and created an amazing backdrop for photos! We surely appreciated it!

I’ve been getting to know Liz and Elliot pretty well the past month, and I was excited to spend more time with them at their engagement session! These two are so adorable together, anyone can tell they truly enjoy being in one another’s lives. This location had special meaning to them because this is the spot that Elliot proposed to Liz! It’s always great to photograph in a location that holds special meaning to the couple. I’m looking forward to photographing their big day!

This is one of my absolutely favorite places to do family photography. It has so many different options for a photographer! So many different background options, and the trains really help to keep the kids interested. This family was great to work with, the kids were adorable and funny and the parents were equally as adorable and funny! When I was doing the photos of the kids instead of trying to “fix” the kids like some parents would do, Missy and Mark were being me making them laugh and imitating monster sounds. Everyone had a little bit of cookie monster in them this day!

Elvia and Casey’s wedding was such a blast! I absolutely LOVED her flowers, they were such a beautiful deep maroon color. Elvia and Casey were both so laid back that it made this wedding feel effortless, it helped to have such great models and Elvia’s breathtaking dress! Winter weddings can be a bit more challenging with sunset ceremonies, but that just gave me more time to do dusk portraits. The mansion, literally was glowing when we took the portrait in front of it, but there was still enough lit for the beautiful blue sky to come through and also the gorgeous greens at the waterfall!

I had the pleasure of shooting John and Stephanie’s engagement session a couple months ago and I was ecstatic for the BIG DAY! I’ve known Stephanie since she and John had started dating. The first wedding Stephanie and I shot together she was telling me excitedly about how they met and their first date. I remember one time Stephanie in conversation told me she couldn’t wait for John to ask her to marry him and she was “So ready just to be his wife.” Stephanie’s dream came true and they had a beautiful wedding! I absolutely loved shooting at this golf course and the details at their reception were beautiful. John actually designed their wedding logo himself!

I have had the wonderful experience of shooting weddings with Stephanie now for over two years. I was overjoyed when she asked me to be her Wedding Photographer! Stephanie and John have a condo in Big Bear and what a better weekend getaway then to go and have some fun and do an engagement session! I had a blast on the ski lift photographing them and with such beautiful surroundings I had a hard time choosing my favorites.

Jake is the brother of a really good friend of mine, and I had an amazing time photographing this wedding! It was a really small and intimate wedding, and had an earlier ceremony time of 11:00. The only downfall for the couple, was that it happened to be one of the hottest weekends of the year! Bridal gowns are hot on a fine temperature day but this day; it was 103 degrees! Haley pulled it off amazingly and her bridal portraits were so stunning, one would never know she was steaming! Their wedding location had special meaning to Haley and Jake, they had visited it on one of their first dates, and carved their initials in the wood railing. Despite the humidity, the guests still had a great time and really enjoyed dancing. They guests were creative, and made their own shade with the adorable Chinese umbrellas!

Erica and Evan knew from the moment they met that they had found their soul-mates. Erica’s daughter fell for Evan and Erica knew that this was; the one. It didn’t take long for them to fall in love and realize that they couldn’t live without one another. Their ceremony was the shortest that I have ever experienced! The literally said I do, kissed and were married. All within one minute!

Alicia and Mike were such a joy to work with, Alicia has one of the biggest hearts I’ve ever seen! Her family was such a joy to work with also, they made me feel like I was one of the family and not just the photographer. This intimate ceremony was held at a lovely restaurant that had a party room. It was dressed up so elegantly that one would never guess it was a part of a busy restaurant on the other side of the wall! Alicia had a beautiful, simple Greek Goddess dress and the most AMAZINGLY gorgeous flowers!
