Butterflies! A sweet remembrance

MG

I have always thought that butterflies were fun, pretty little creatures but until my Gramma passed away they were never close to my heart. We had just finished the cemetery service and were about to head back to the church, when I noticed a monarch on my Gramma’s casket. It just felt like a sign from God for peace. These photographs are from when I went to Balboa Park, I noticed a monarch and began to follow it around to photograph. _MG_5151-13

SHOES!!

Red Shoes

Being a woman, I LOVE shoes! I know, I know just like the rest of the women. I have this pair of red shoes that I have probably only worn three times, but I constantly look at them and wish I wore them more. I think I like the look of them more than I like to wear them. Every woman needs a pair of red heels.

All babies are a gift from God. I had the wonderful opportunity to photograph Eli, my cousin’s son. I love how mold-able babies are and the expression they give during the photo session.

I acquired these hats from a good friend of mine Carol, of Joseph Carroll Photography in Murrieta, CA. I gathered some lovely models and had a little hats photo session!

Shrimp Salad ~ Food Photography

This shrimp salad made me hungry the whole time I was photographing it. It still amazes how natural light makes food look so delectable. Fresh vegetables really make the difference. Not only do they photograph better but they have the richest taste. I strongly urge anyone to support natural and organic markets. Shrimp Salad

Food Photography

I have always enjoyed food. Eating it, smelling it, cooking it, baking it; all of it! There is an elegance to food that makes it beautiful when photographed.
There are such little details that are in vegetables. The seeds, the little freckles on the seed pod. The curve of the stem, the lines on the body of the pepper.
Tomatoes are so different then other vegetables. I suppose it’s because they are not classified as vegetables, but as fruits. The color of the tomato changes almost daily. It might be from pink to red to dark red to burgandy. There are so many different types of tomato.
Rice comes in so many different types of grains. Each size of grain is different and has a slightly different shape. They are even different shades of white.
