Callie and Derek have actually known each other for quite awhile, Derek was friends with Callie’s brother in High School. It wasn’t until they worked at a restaurant together that they really hit it off. They both love to travel together, and Derek popped the question in front of the Bellagio in Las Vegas when they were on their way to Japan! They chose Windows on Minnesota because of the elegance and the ambiance. As a Windows on Minnesota Wedding Photographer, I definitely agree! Their decor resembled architecture with the different levels, and Callie fell in love with the crystal balls as soon as she saw them. They were a bright shining piece in the decor!

When I met Heather and Chris, I had an instant connection with them. They were so easy to talk to, great sense of humor and love to laugh. As you can see with their sign too, their humor was definitely included in this session! It was a little windy the day of their engagement session, but it really helped to not have the heat like we’ve had all summer long. The sky was a perfect shade of blue and had some really nice puffy clouds too. I love using downtown Northfield as Northfield Engagement Photography because there are so many great options in a small area!

Fall is always one of the most popular seasons for family sessions, and it’s easy to see why: the colors are amazing! I have been photographing this family, since Mom was pregnant with #2, so every year it’s awesome to get them on the books. As a Jordan Family Photographer, it’s always great to see how the kids have grown from year to year. This year we had an addition of Grammy into the photos, the more the merrier!

After a crazy pandemic year, Lauryn is ready to her senior year and this farm session turned out amazing! Even Tucker participated for a couple photos, it’s always great to include the fur babies in the photos.

I have been able to be a part of several milestones for this family, the start of their union as their wedding photographer, their first born’s newborn session and now Patrick’s newborn session! When their first son Jackson was born, I was still photographing in homes, luckily now I have a studio as a Jordan Studio Newborn Photographer. It’s crazy how much time flies from when you first have met people and started on a journey with them. Jackson is so grown up, and Patrick looks just like he did as a baby. Patrick wasn’t sure if he wanted to sleep during our session or be alert and see what was happening. Either way, he photographed wonderfully, because he’s so adorable, look at that head of hair!!

Katie and Luke met while they were on the road traveling. They both work in the music industry, Luke does set design and Katie is in charge of dressing rooms (fun work, right?!). This whirlwind of a romance let to an elopement in late December. Hotel Landing in Wayzata is one of the most amazing boutique hotels that I’ve had the pleasure of shooting at. It has so many wonderful indoor places for a Wayzata Wedding Photographer, and even more when it’s summer outside! I’ve had the enjoyment in knowing Katie for many years (we went to photography school together in Santa Barbara, CA), and I am so excited she landed in the Midwest too! This beautiful couple is one that I am happy to call my friends, so glad for their union!

It’s been quite a cold fall compared to normal, but then again nothing has been normal about 2020! Luckily, Molly and Brian had wonderful weather for their wedding and the sun was shining. Even though pieces of their day had to change, they still had the ceremony they wanted, and their families surrounding them. They even had a full moon to end the night! Alex and Caysie have a relationship straight out of a book- girl has middle school crush on boy, they reconnect in High School and never part ways. Even one of their dogs has been along for the journey, Kastor was a promposal from Alex to Caysie. These two love to go on adventures, so it’s no surprise that when Alex proposed it was on one of their journeys. Caysie thought they were going on a hike, little did she know her future was about to change! Even though it didn’t go completely as planned- it was suppose to be trailhead (Alex didn’t know it had closed due to erosion), and they ended up in a random swampy campground in a parking lot next to a dumpster and a public restroom. The scenery didn’t matter- Caysie knew Alex was the one! Photographing as a The Garden’s of Castle Rock Wedding Photographer is such a dream. There are so many places for photographic opportunities, and it’s always a bonus when the owners are amazing!
