My dad, Dave, has been an Iron Worker my whole life. He has done some seriously big buildings and bridges and was even the Superintendent on the new Minnesota Twins Target Stadium. He even signed the first structural beam that was put in! There are a lot of rules and regulations, so we weren’t allowed on job sites growing up. Luckily, now that I’m older, I was able to visit a job site! While I was there, I took this great portrait of my Dad. I just love the crane in the background!
What a fantastic photograph! It depicts the life that your Dad has had as an Ironworker. The work is hard and dirty-but the picture captures the beauty and clarity of the sky above- symbolizing how God’s hand has been upon your Dad’s life at so many job sites throughout Minnesota.
