Live Birth Session

The birth of a child is a celebration and joyous time for everyone. This was such a beautiful day! I am so glad that Chris and Scarlet allowed me to be a part of such an intimate part of their lives. I received my wake-up call from Scarlet at 2am to let me know they were dropping off their other child, CJ and headed to the hospital. She called me an hour later and said I could come down anytime. I arrived at 4am and from there everything seemed to go so fast! We spent a couple hours just visiting waiting for the contractions to create more dilation. It didn’t take long for her to jump from 5-8 (half in hour in fact) and we had to await the doctor’s arrival. From there it all happened so fast, if I didn’t have my camera I think something could have easily been missed in the blink of an eye. Ryker Eugene came out at 6 pounds 14 ounces, 18 inches. He’s quite the little hairy fella!
